DTV – Destination Thailand Visa
- Visa duration: 5 years
- Cost: $340 USD
- Stay limit: 180 days per visit. You can extend your stay for another 180 days for $55 USD.
The visa has three categories:
- Workcation: For digital nomads, remote workers, freelancers, or foreign talent.
- Family members: Spouses and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders.
- Thai cultural activities: For activities like Muay Thai training, Thai cooking classes, or medical treatments.
Financial requirement:
You need to show proof of funds equivalent to 500,000 Thai Baht for each family member. Additional documents depend on your visa type and work/income status.
Required documents
For Workcation DTV Visa:
- Passport bio page or travel document
- A photo taken within the last 6 months
- Proof of your current location
- Financial proof: Bank statements or sponsorship letter showing at least 500,000 THB
- Proof of employment: Employment contract, certificate, or portfolio showing your work as a digital nomad, remote worker, freelancer, or foreign talent
For spouse and children (DTV visa holder’s family):
- Passport bio page or travel document
- A photo taken within the last 6 months
- Proof of your current location
- Financial proof: Bank statements or sponsorship letter showing at least 500,000 THB
- Copy of the DTV visa of the main visa holder
- Proof of relationship to the main visa holder (e.g., marriage certificate, birth certificate, or adoption certificate)
For Thai cultural activities (Thai soft power-related):
- Passport bio page or travel document
- A photo taken within the last 6 months
- Proof of your current location
- Financial proof: Bank statements or sponsorship letter showing at least 500,000 THB
- Confirmation of participation: Proof of registration for the activity or an appointment letter from a hospital/medical center
